I meantime called by Scottish Power sales offering me boiler care, however, when explained I think I have cover through them, they then can't help me as I'm a customer, they only deal with new sales. I called D&G who have no record of the nw account, but told me I need to go through Scootish power sales and patch me through. Scottish power sales have no record of my new account (but can find the old one) , but tell me D&G should have put me through to customer services not sales and then cut me off! But when I wanted to claim, it turned out that my insurance account was not even set up. They lost my insurance sign-up. It took me approximately 10 emails to their Customer Service, but they constantly refused to assist me. Finally, I got offered a £100 compensation and they assured me: "We will take this on board and make sure that the relevant changes are made to the customer service." This assurance obviously did not get acted upon, because their customer service even worsened from then on. The engineer blames the 94 yo for it not working. I have had a boiler service appt cancelled and moved.... then on the 2nd appt they called 45 minutes before the end of the 5-hr morning appt slot to say he was "off sick" and couldnt come out.... then on the 3rd appt it was a complete no-show, no calls, nothing. Phoned the main number to cancel poilcy and calls "dropped" when making the complaint.
