Giving Back with a little

I am on benefits and my family for four generations have saved with a Credit Union. I like that I can put a little away each month, providing a safety net not just for me, but for others in my area too because it helps towards loan access. Honestly without my CU I wouldn't be able to save. I am hoping it will help towards funeral costs and maybe a great wake to go out on. Thank you for providing a service in my local area. Life Changing

I can't big up Sheffield Credit Union enough! The team are absolutely great! I have been able to save for Xmas and put a little aside which has changed the way I manage my money. Very helpful

I stumbled across Sheffield credit union by chance saw that helped low income family and I joined they’ve been very helpful and are very polite and I can now start saving again and with options of a loan which in the current climate is fantastic Reviewed on: 28th June 2023

Affordability for everyone

I have saved regularly with the Sheffield credit union, since I originally opened my account over 13 years ago. The amount I have saved each month has varied over the years from as little as £2 a week to now £160 a month. It has been many things for me over the years, my "emergency fund", "rainy day money" and now is my most trusted savings account. Recently I applied for a first time mortgage (with a broker) and my ability to save and borrow with SCU over the years has greatly benefited my credit score and enabled me a higher level of affordability I didn't think I would get. I will always be a customer of SCU and am grateful for everything they have helped me with over all these years. Reviewed on: 30th May 2023

Sheffield Credit Union is a very good way to save for a rainy day

I have been with Sheffield Credi Union/Ryton Credit Union since 1990s saving in fits and starts at first then I trusted saving by banker's order. The Credit Union gives better dividend than other banking for me. They are prompt in releasing money when i need to withdraw. Up till now I haven't had to ask for a loan but I know my money is used to help those who find money road blocks arriving unexpectedly. I know of quite a few people who have got back up oto their feet after hard times due to being members of a Credit Union. Reviewed on: 29th May 2023
