DISGRACEFUL

Don't not trust this bank with your money I have had my account shut for no reason I know off whatsoever and then being told they cant tell me why and then saying there was no funds in my account when I know full well there was I will be taking this...

Offered me £750 incentive to switch but kept the money.

I was offered a £750 incentive to switch banks from Natwest to Starling. I made the switch and was expecting my incentive to be credited to my new account "Within 7 days" ...

I was offered a £750 incentive to switch banks from Natwest to Starling. I made the switch and was expecting my incentive to be credited to my new account "Within 7 days"
The switch happened however 9 days later and the incentive payment still hasn't been credited to my new account.
So far I have contacted Starling twice and all they say is "Someone from the Business switch team will be in contact with you"
Please think seriously before switching your bank account to Starling.

The mobile phone app is very simple to use and slick. But.. I hadn't checked closely enough, I thought it was mobile phone and phone banking. The fact that I can't use it on any other portal feels a bit 'eggs in one basket' - mobile phones are often lost or stolen but there is no other way to access your account in this event. Customer service is a chatbot, which has been quite slow, email responses are even slower. Overall it isn't strong enough for my business needs as I couldn't even get it to integrate with Xero, despite following numerous sets of instructions. Plus, trying to switch away from them is proving to be a nightmare which is odd given how quick they were to get my business. It feels like the emperor's new clothes - some nice touches but there isn't that much substance behind the stuff. If you live and die for your mobile phone, this account will be heaven for you. If you don't, you may find it disappointing.

Traditional banks are shadowy, monolithic entities that are slow to change and absolutely do not put the customer first. Starling Bank is better in every conceivable way. I have a current account with improved features over time. I can reach a customer service agent - an actual human - in seconds without jumping through hoops. I am in full control of my card and my money. I can't recommend them enough.

I switched to Starling in August last year and it is the best thing I have done. I had been with my previous bank for nearly 40 years but I decided to move because there wasn’t any rewards or interest. I love starling as I can save and I am advised straight away when money goes in or out. I love this bank.
