Banking for the next generation

Had a kids account at with a big named branch bank but the hoops we had to jump through to do anything became ridiculous. We closed the account and open a kite card ith Starling. What a difference! So easy to set up and link to my account, card arrived really quickly and we were set up on my teens phone in minutes. It's really boosted their confidence with managing money being able to keep track of spending and saving on the app and the controls for parents are fantastic. I would really recommend a kite card for any young person or a Starling account in general to everyone else. We even set my father up with an account a few years ago and he said it was the best change he'd made in ages to his banking. So thank you Starling! Reviewed on: 16th March 2023

Kids love the independence

Convenient and intuitive

Being able to give my teenaged an early lesson in how to manage his finances has been made all the easier since I set up a Starling Kite account for him. His pocket money, birthday gifts and sundry other monies go in there and I can keep a track on his payments and he can use his card to buy his inevitable computer games or get an element of financial autonomy when he's out on his own. Kite account perfect for my daughters

I chose the Kite account because unlike the high street banks I had researched, it was extremely easy and quick to set up accounts for my daughters. I love the way their Kite accounts are joined to my own account making it very easy to transfer money back and forth, and also monitor their spending. They love having their own cards too which they can use in shops and on the bus. When they misplace their cards I love how quick it into lock and unlock their cards through the app to give them a chance to find them (usually on their bedroom floors!).
