Avoid Starling Bank they don't let you use your own... Avoid Starling Bank they don't let you use your own money by stopping you transferring it between your own accounts and also returned a £20 direct deb... Read more Reviewed on: 21st August 2026

Been with Monzo and Starling banks Starling stands out with fee free atm abroad , free cash deposit at post office, low overdraft fees and just feel better. Reviewed on: 7th February 2020

Fantastic customer service and user experience

The app is really easy to use and gives insightful information on the front page without feeling overwhelmed. The spaces function really helps me with settling goals and feeling motivated to saving money. The settle-up feature makes splitting costs really easy. I used my card when travelling and the exchange rate when withdrawing cash was always very close and often much better than rates I could find elsewhere. Whenever I've had any issues or questions the instant message feature on the app has resolved everything quickly and simply. Couldn't recommend Starling Bank more. Reviewed on: 18th February 2021

Easily managed account, with transactions sending instant notifications to my phone. inbuilt savings possibilities. Transfer to family members close-by via bluetooth is great. Reviewed on: 18th February 2021

I feel like I have so much more control over my finances with Starling than I ever had with my previous high street banks. Quick and Easy

Banking has never been as easy. Can see what I spend and don't need receipts as everything I spend sent to my phone. Made transfer from old classic current account very easy.
