I would instantly recommend.

Whenever I have spoken to anyone at Step Change they have been incredibly understanding, non judgmental, knowledgeable, helpful and above all reassuring. I would advise anyone who is struggling with debt to at least speak to Step Change, they have done wonders for me in terms of sorting out my debt & informing me, and with this the improvement on my mental health has been incredible. The go-to place for Debt advice, based on my experiences. Don't leave things too late, as they can help you up-front—no need to be shy or embarrassed. You may be forwarded to them from Business Debtline or National Debtline. These are all excellent free services. The last thing you want to do is pay out even more. I could pay my debts, but the interest could suck up your resources. I had had enough of it. They helped me. Recommended! Reviewed on: 27th May 2026
