Retaking control

You've come to the end of your tether, swamped by red letters and final notices. So phone StepChange - one of the best half hours of your life. They sort out what you spend on what, what you owe, what you can afford to pay back after allowances are made for the amount you need to live on. Then they sort out the repayments (through them) and companies listen to them whereas they wouldn't listen to you, because they have standing. And the best bit (apart from the relief of finally doing something positive about things) is that they're a charity and won't charge you a penny. Reviewed on: 23rd April 2017

They have changed my life

My life was inundated with debt and I didn't know what to do or even where to start....Then I found out about StepChange & approached them. Honestly the best thing I ever did, they explained to me what the plan of action was and went through it thoroughly. A affordable payment plan was set up and distributed across my all my creditors. Fast forward a few, I am now only a few months off being debt free. My advice to anyone....if you're in debt or struggling, please speak to StepChange and they can help. 2008 the great crash

2008 during the great crash i basically lost my business and everythng that my income supported. Stepchange was there and helped me avoid bankrupcy and dealt with my creditors on my behalf taking the majority of stress off me. 18 years later they are still behind me helping when they feel i need it! Not sure what I would have done without Step change, they have really turned my situation around. I was embarrassed and struggling every day with repayments and lack of funds after everything was paid massively affecting my mental and physical health. I am Eternally grateful. Step change are amazing 10/10

I got myself in a financial mess, and turning to stepchange for help and advice was the best decision I've ever made. It was so incredibly easy I thought I was missing something.
