Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Changed our lives for the better

We really struggled with an ever increasing debt that banks advise had made much worse, we could see no way out till we were told about step change, they have always been very helpful not judgemental and reduced our stress levels we only have a few years left to be completely debt free, could never thank them enough for their support Reviewed on: 12th July 2020

Without the outstanding help, knowledge, comfort of feeling I was getting the very best advice for my own needs, my whole life would have been in tatters if it hadn't been for the staff of Step Change

My life would have been very difficult now, not only financially but mentally too. The debt I found myself in was not because I was a gambler or someone who over spent etc.. I was a business woman with a private daycare nursery and costs and poor funding affected my cashflow in the end. My staff kept their jobs, and I walked away, handing my business, staff and children over to a charity who could finance the child care better than I could. Reviewed on: 12th July 2020

Stress Buster

I was extremely concerned about my circumstances and predicament, as I had a nervous breakdown, but with wonderful advice and help from Stepchange and my family i came out of a dark tunnel, and at least i am paying something back to my creditors, many thanks, Stepchange. Fabulous

I am very pleased that I meet and can use all my problems with such a wonderful, culture group of people, where now you can rarely meet such. So ladies and gentlemen...

I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't found them
