Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Excellent support and service

From the initial phone call to discuss our debt concerns to setting up a DMP the staff at StepChange have been understanding, non judgemental and encouraging in supporting us to get a grIp on our debts and make positive life style changes to Ensure we keep on top of our payments. ££21,000 pound later and I am finally debt free thanks to StepChange

StepChange have supported me over the last 10 years, I was £21,000 in debt through credit and store cards, StepChange helped me from the beginning with liaising with my creditors and agreeing an achievable Debt repayment plan and helping with stopping any further interest being applied, now 10 years later I have a couple more payments and I will be completely debt free, thank you very much StepChange.
