Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

BEST SUPPORT

Amazing Service

I was so nervous about contacting step change to help me with my debts. Ever since I made that first phone call to start my debt management plan I have had such a big weight lifted off my shoulders. Every member or staff I have spoken to have been helpful and understanding. I was always one of these people who would rather ignore the debts than get them sorted. I also feel the budget review helps in the long term of how to manage your money moving forward. I am One month from being debt free and I never thought I would ever be in this situation 2 years ago when I first reached out to step change.
