Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Life saver

I had debts mounting up and there was no way I could afford to pay them all back I had bailiffs knocking on my door. One call to step change we decided a debt management plan was the best way to go, creditors were off my back and receiving a payment I could afford everybody wins Reviewed on: 8th July 2020

Great Debt support Advice

Having had support from Step change for a number of years they have given me peace of mind with my debts helped put my mind at rest and helped stop all those horrible red letters coming through the post. Very very helpful and eased all my worry about debts

They have been so helpful and helped me arrange easier payments for me to pay my outstanding debts which arrived after my husband died. Also I did have a small hiccup when my household bills were increased but they Sorted it all out. Step Change gave me my life back

We were at the point where our debts were all I could think about, and I couldn't see a way out, when I called StepChange. They helped us to work out a budget and suggested a debt management plan.
