Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Lifeline and reassuring during difficult circumstances

A friend in crisis

When your at the end of your tether and can’t cope, there is a solution! Stepchange. For me it was a release and gave me the will to restructure all my debts. 3yrs on and alls well and I no longer worry about debt. The first step to be debt free.

I accrued thousands in debt and due to my Financial situation changing I started to struggle to pay my obligations. Step Change were very understanding and helped me choose a solution to satisfy my debts. I’m in a debt management plan and it makes it very simple, one direct debits a month, and no more stress. Never fear debt, there’s always a solution, and I believe Step Change is the best choice. I’ve used Step Change for three years, and so far their methods have helped me pay back £3500 out of £9800.
