My call was answered quickly, the customer service person was attentive, and empathetic.i was offered choices and help when I was in despair. It took my pressure off and I put in place a plan that has given me peace and one I can manage and am committed to. Reviewed on: 24th May 2025

I can now sleep at nights.

I have suffered from depression since being diagnosed with PTSD in 1989. Life finally got on top of me, and my general health started to deteriorate as well, when I found I couldn't cope with my financial situation - I was out of work through illness and couldn't find another job because of my age, nearly 70. I was juggling credit cards just to pay the rent, let alone other expenses. I couldn't sleep, and if I did, I awoke in the early hours in a panic. I turned to Stepchange after seeing it recommended on the Martin Lewis website. They have taken control of my debts (made interest free), and I now pay a manageable sum monthly to my creditors. It's a relatively simple process. Simply produce a budget and they do the rest by dealing with the banks. I can now sleep at nights. Reviewed on: 24th May 2025

life changer...
