Don’t be afraid to ask for help!

I’d got into a cycle of using my credit cards for the few days between paying my monthly amount and interest being added, coupled with a store card my monthly expenditure was out of control and my self esteem plummeted. I heard about StepChange through a friend and with their help and support I took a good hard look at my finances and set up a plan. I also have to say that my creditors were fabulous. I’d never missed a payment with any of them but they all supported me. Absolutely not as terrifying as I’d imagined. I’m adjusting to managing my money and curbing my spending but I’m so proud of myself for taking this step and for StepChange being so kind and helpful. Reviewed on: 1st May 2024
