Retaking control

You've come to the end of your tether, swamped by red letters and final notices. So phone StepChange - one of the best half hours of your life. They sort out what you spend on what, what you owe, what you can afford to pay back after allowances are made for the amount you need to live on. Then they sort out the repayments (through them) and companies listen to them whereas they wouldn't listen to you, because they have standing. And the best bit (apart from the relief of finally doing something positive about things) is that they're a charity and won't charge you a penny. Reviewed on: 23rd April 2017

I thought my career was ended due to debt

I came to step change in need. Bills piling up and thinking bankruptcy was the only way to go. This would have meant losing my job. They helped me secure an agreement with lenders to lower interest rates, monthly payments and extend my borrowing time so I Dident have to throw my career away. I could not thank StepChange enough.

I could not thank StepChange enough. My debts were out of control and I was spiralling. After filling in an online form about my debts, it has been smooth sailing ever since.
