I only use UTB for savings so I have no need to be in touch with them other than annually. However, when I have contacted them in the past, I have found them to be very helpful and informative. Reviewed on: 10th April 2026

United Trust Bank -competitive and friendly.

Interest rates are very competitive. The online banking experience is very good, pages are easy to navigate and very clear. Communication from UTB is informative and they don't overwhelm the client with marketing. Reviewed on: 9th April 2026

Please bring rates back so I can use UTB again!

What initially drew me 2 years ago to UTB was not only the rate on the 1 year Cash ISA Bond but later the clear and logically explained stages of written communication during setting up the account, and after actually making the initial deposit. The text came quickly, so my initially deposited tester £ amount into the account (to ensure that the bank process was legitimate) could quickly be followed by the remainder of the full amount I wanted to deposit. I could feel secure that UTB were who they deemed themselves to be, and then act swiftly with confidence. Applying on-line, these aspects are essential for customer trust with these large sums of money, particularly when time is pressing before the tax yr end. In addition, I had a more complex question to raise on a call before transferring my initial deposit into another Isa with UTB last year and the quality of the response on the call to customer services was excellent. It was intelligent, independently thought about and teased out with me (no sense of a script), entirely clear explanations and directions as to how to go about acting. This call is actually the reason I would much prefer to stay with UTB. Sadly, I felt the rates offered this year before end of tax year 2026 were not entirely competitive, which meant that I had to look elsewhere. I may also have to transfer out because of this, which I would prefer not to. I would not hesitate to return to UTB if their rates improved a bit. Reviewed on: 8th April 2026
