Disappointing service and tech

Vanguard provides good value funds and a competitive investment platform with ISA and pension accounts which should suit most investors. However, despite what other reviews (and Which?) seem to say about 'good service', my experience is that the service is poor and getting worse. Secure messages take 3-4 working days to be replied to. A recent complaint about a major mistake made with a recent pension transfer in (they transfer a full rather than partial pension account) could not be resolved within the 8 week deadline, as they were 'still waiting for information from the relevant department. Trying to invest in funds using cash sitting within the pension fund isn't possible because it keeps asking for debit card info. And frequently when logged in, a message keeps coming up saying 'You will be logged out soon'. The bottom line is the tech needs a serious refresh and debugging, the service standards and capability of staff needs improving, and the look and feel of the platform needs an overhaul. I had a 25 year career as a financial adviser and I am an investor in many fintech businesses and I feel extremely let down and disappointed by a company that was a force for good, but seems to be taking its customers for granted. Low cost, simple investing

Easy investments

I went into investing as a complete beginner but Vanguard is extremely helpful in explaining the ins and outs of it all. Would thoroughly recommend them for anyone looking to get started. Reviewed on: 2nd June 2023

Easy UI and good service

Clear, straightforward, informative, low-cost.

Vanguard enable you to buy a large range of tracker funds,, and funds that combine equity with bonds. You can chose funds according to your risk profile. They offer "education" to the beginner without being patronising. And they give plenty of detailed information to those who want to dig a little deeper. In safe hands

I feel my money is safe with Vanguard and they offer competitive rate charges. I have my Sipp and ISA with them and their web interface works well. Reviewed on: 11th April 2023
