With a Wise Account, you can spend around the world, have a balance in any of 40+ currencies and send payments to over 80 countries.

The Wise Account isn’t a bank account, it’s a Money Service. You can get a linked Wise card, but you can’t get credit facilities like an overdraft. Wise has security measures built in to keep your money safe.

A lot more than just foreign exchange

Wise (was Transferwise) have moved a long way from just providing fast , good value currency transfers. Now it is a full functioned, multi-currency account that puts most traditional banks to shame. Reviewed on: 5th April 2023

Versatile ForEx platform with card services

Began using Wise when it was Transferwise to move AUD,GBP and EUR. Needed 4 currencies for a long vacation and found Wise offered a great service. By loading the card from savings into the 4 currencies at a favourable rate I was able to manage with the plastic card and Google Pay. The App is intuitive and provides information on purchases and balances. Loading funds and transferring between accounts (50 or so different currencies) and other wise users was simple. Exchange rates were very competitive. Holding currencies was fee free and there are investment services available also. The virtual card, which creates a one off card number for web transactions, worked a treat for purchases in Central America. Highly recommend for travel and day to day forex transactions. Unfortunately, it appears that Wise Bank has a history of treating their customers unfairly. There have been multiple reports of account closures without any clear reason or explanation given to the customer. This is unacceptable behavior, and it can cause significant inconvenience and frustration for those affected. What makes matters worse is that Wise Bank does not seem to have a clear process for addressing customer concerns. When customers try to contact the bank for an explanation or resolution, they are often met with silence or vague responses that do not address their concerns. Overall, it is deeply concerning that a bank would treat their customers in such an unfair and disrespectful manner. Any financial institution should prioritize the needs and interests of their customers above all else, and it is clear that Wise Bank is not living up to this standard. If you are considering banking with Wise Bank, I would strongly advise caution and recommend exploring other options instead. Reviewed on: 9th March 2023
