The Freedom account has no monthly fees and the Activeplus account is £5.95 per month. There may be fees for sending money and withdrawing or paying in cash. Both accounts come with the option to add on an overdraft.

I opened a current account because I needed a bank with a strong mobile app and transparent fees. Most of my interactions have been through online banking. Very user‑friendly app: The interface is clean, intuitive, and fast. I can check balances and make transfers in seconds Transparent fees: No surprises so far. Great customer service and reliable app

I first set up this account to keep my self-employed earnings separate from my current account and it has worked really well. The app is reliable, customer service is friendly and efficient and the statements are very clear. Mostly great positive experience
