The Freedom account has no monthly fees and the Activeplus account is £5.95 per month. There may be fees for sending money and withdrawing or paying in cash. Both accounts come with the option to add on an overdraft.

works perfectly except customer services

Everything in the bank is excellent. Service is excellent. Everything is excellent except for once where they lied to me and told me that the money was going into my account would be returned to the Government as it was a Pension and then they took it. It wouldn’t give it back to me. I lost 468 £5. I sent it to the Treasury and the truth you wanted 600 to get it back so the bank had cost me a large amount and would not listen to a reason.
