GJW - The best narrowboat insurers in my view

I have had comprehensive marine insurance with GJW Direct for over 15 years. When I was first looking for insurance for my narrowboat, the gentleman on the end of the telephone was gentle, kind and understanding. He remembered me from year to year, and took time to ensure that I had the right insurance for my boat. Any changes to the policy were clearly communicated to me, and any additions I had, for example, specific items to be insured, were discussed & added onto the policy. From the start, GJW demonstrated knowledge & understanding of the type & coverage of marine insurance I required. I have never changed my insurers as I continue to be happy with the insurance cover offered & competitive price of the insurance. I recommended GJW to a fellow boater recently and he has just renewed with them for a second year. Reviewed on: 24th September 2025

GJW boat insurance

Not matter when i have contacted GJW, it is with out doubt the best customer service i recieve, having dealt with different companies weather it be mobile phone , electricity etc they all pail in comparison to the service GJW provide, will i go anywhere else for my boat cover - not a chance.
