Every South Manchester Credit Union member gets an Open Savings account. Deposits can be made anytime and withdrawals up to once a month. There’s also a Locked account where savings are pledged towards a loan.

Saving couldn’t be easier.

Saving couldn’t be easier. Straight from my salary . Easy to set up and then I am saving without thinking of it. SMCU has different accounts to save in. I am even entered in a monthly draw where I can win 5k just for saving. I can save for the holiday of my dreams and know my savings help SMCU grow. Very friendly staff who are always happy to help with any enquiries. I recently popped in, no appointment and they helped me navigate through the app. I have phoned the CU on many occasions and always spoke to a human...not a robot and staff are always willing to help and guide me through any concerns I may have. Withdrawals from my account are prompt, decisions made quickly and help immediately. Fortunately i am no longer a borrower, but a saver, and I have encouraged many friends to join SMCU, because of its ease of access, friendliness, prompt service, locality, non judgmental atyitude towards clients.
