Its still just a work in progress.

On 16 January 17 I downloaded the app to my iPad2 (with up to date iOS), was directed to enter my email address for "a device code", presumably to get started, pressed the only option of "continue" to then get the message "That shouldn't have happened" and had to return to the home page. I went round this circle 3x before loosing patience. If a new customer with £000s to invest for some years can't even get past the public access deposit step, what's the chances of even getting your money back, never mind the stated interest? This may be the future of banking, but right now its still a work in progress, so "I'M OUT"! Reviewed on: 16th January 2017

Cannot open account using the App

I've had 4 attempts at opening a fixed term savings account using the App. Each time I get to the point where I've entered my address, the App tells me I've lost my internet connection. I'm connected using wi-fi. Customer support asked me to try again over 3G, but no signal here. Reviewed on: 12th January 2017

Have to delete/redownload app TWICE in a week and re-enter everything

Since downloading the app, on 4 occasions it has crashed ("unable to verify your system, please try later") meaning I had to delete the app; re-download; and re-do/re-enter all my biometrics. On Monday of this week, I called to get it sorted, was told "No need to ever delete/re-do everything, just call". Which I did today when - after just 3 days working - I again had the same message with no login or navigation options, just a frozen screen. Just off the phone to be told "you will in fact have to delete and reinstall" Now - my iPhone6+ running iOS10 has not changed since Monday when I could log in (after a phone call) - I've never encountered a worse banking app in my entire life - totally unreliable, one day it might let you in, another not. None of my other banking apps have ever failed to let me access login screen/options - only this one. I'm going to start a diary on twitter on a daily basis to record when it does/does not work. Brilliant start to life as a bank - superb experience - fun and secure

This new challenger bank was fresh and new. Brilliant security features from day one with voice recognition and face recognition. And whenever you log in it is so clear and quick what your investments are, when they were made and what money you're making. Can't fault. Reviewed on: 21st November 2016

Atom Bank needs to go back to basics

Afrer messing about installing apps and trying to get a saver account open the system tells me I cannot be identified using their checks. One wonders exactly what checks they are using when Tesco Bank, Charter Savings Bank and Metro Bank all managed to identifiy me without any problems. Looks like a work in progress to me- and probably best avoided Reviewed on: 17th November 2016

The app has been slow and unresponsive. If your bank is really based on this app there is no future for you unless you hire good programmers. Reviewed on: 16th November 2016

The worst mobile banking app I've ever come across

For the third time, tapping the app brings up a screen "Sorry we were unable to connect and verify the application on your device, please try again". Previous two times this happened, had to delete the app, call the call centre to get a code, re-download app and register afresh, and re-enter boimetrics. This time? No such luck as "we don't give codes out now that we're up and running". So - first call to call centre - "delete the app and re-download it, all will be well" Second call, when this did not work "Are you connected to wifi? Maybe try re-starting your phone". Done that, still cannot get an screen on the app other than a pic of the Head of Compliance and the error message above. This is - without doubt - the worst, most unreliable, digitally-ancient app I have ever come across in my entire life. None of my "dinosaur bank" apps have ever done this, and Atom clearly has a problem on the app update front. See no point in using it - and don't even get me started on the few occasions when I was able to get beyond the error screen and then it would/would not recognise my login. Waste of time.
