Very impressed

I've taken out a 1 year fixed rate saving account,was very impressed how easy their site is also the added security of voice and facial recognition .it was quick and easy to navigate through. Reviewed on: 25th February 2017

wasted time

Early experiences have been excellent

It's a novel procedure to open an account, on a phone (or tablet) with voice recognition and face recognition for security, but it all works well (on my Android, Moto G4). I needed to speak to someone over a couple of queries and found there help line easy to access and informative. Interest rates are as good as you can find with full £85K protection, so definitely worth considering. Reviewed on: 17th February 2017

Waste of time

I've wasted about 2 hours trying to open an account with Atom. I did the face recognition bit but then when I tried to enter my details it just chucked me out time after time. I must have tried 20 times. 2 calls to their 'customer service' number (Katie and Samantha) achieved nothing. I was going to deposit £75K for 5 years. Went to Ikano Bank instead - so easy - took less than 5 minutes' - wish I'd gone to them first - same interest rate. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH ATOM is my advice! Reviewed on: 10th February 2017

so far excellent experience

Can only assume that the negative reviews on the site were written when the app was experiencing problems or still had issues that needed ironing out. I opened an account and made a deposit today in the space of half an hour from downloading the app to making the deposit. The app was a complete pleasure to use, all info clear and straightforward, and the 3 security steps (passcode, face recognition, voice recognition) plus clear reminders as to where on the app all my account info is saved, put my mind at rest about using a phone app for a savings account (something I had never done previously) All in all, so far so good Reviewed on: 25th January 2017

On 16 January 17 I downloaded the app to my iPad2 (with up to date iOS), was directed to enter my email address for "a device code", presumably to get started, pressed the only option of "continue" to then get the message "That shouldn't have happened" and had to return to the home page. I went round this circle 3x before loosing patience. If a new customer with £000s to invest for some years can't even get past the public access deposit step, what's the chances of even getting your money back, never mind the stated interest? This may be the future of banking, but right now its still a work in progress, so "I'M OUT"! Reviewed on: 16th January 2017

Cannot open account using the App

I've had 4 attempts at opening a fixed term savings account using the App. Each time I get to the point where I've entered my address, the App tells me I've lost my internet connection. I'm connected using wi-fi. Customer support asked me to try again over 3G, but no signal here. Reviewed on: 12th January 2017

Have to delete/redownload app TWICE in a week and re-enter everything

Since downloading the app, on 4 occasions it has crashed ("unable to verify your system, please try later") meaning I had to delete the app; re-download; and re-do/re-enter all my biometrics. On Monday of this week, I called to get it sorted, was told "No need to ever delete/re-do everything, just call". Which I did today when - after just 3 days working - I again had the same message with no login or navigation options, just a frozen screen. Just off the phone to be told "you will in fact have to delete and reinstall" Now - my iPhone6+ running iOS10 has not changed since Monday when I could log in (after a phone call) - I've never encountered a worse banking app in my entire life - totally unreliable, one day it might let you in, another not. None of my other banking apps have ever failed to let me access login screen/options - only this one. I'm going to start a diary on twitter on a daily basis to record when it does/does not work.
