Poor value compared to other savings providers We have a number of savings accounts. Atom bank has been the worst by far in terms of offering one rate and then dropping the rate. Do not recommend Reviewed on: 9th March 2026

It just takes a SEC. - it's Simple, Easy and Convenient!

Simple to set up, Easy to operate and Convenient as you carry it around in your pocket. They've always answer any questions i have very quickly and i have never had a problem. The rates are very competitive. What more can you want!! Reviewed on: 20th January 2022

Unable to access fund for 11 days

I have their instant saver account and also previously fixed saver. It has been fine until the recent technical issues with their app. I was unable to withdraw my money for 11+ days (not even manually through the phone), during which I've contacted them numerously times, it only got resolved after I made a complaint. They did not admit their mistakes and said it was due to a regular audit check, despite their agents previously told me it's a technical issue they were having. And I know my sister was also having the same issue. Very disappointed in how Atom treated my case. I had recommended them to my families and friends before, but now I have to warn them to withdraw their money and not use them anymore! Reviewed on: 8th September 2021

Long-standing saver

I have been a customer since the start of the company. I have had several accounts mature then be reinvested in a new product. I use an iPhone 7 and iPad and apart from the very occasional problem the experience has been very good. Reviewed on: 8th September 2021

Quick and easy

This is a review of the Atom Instant Access account. The rate is very good in comparison to the market and once registered, their app and speed of transfer are super quick. Good to know with instant access - which you might need in an emergency Reviewed on: 10th March 2021

Dreadful app and no way to manage account on the web

You can only access your account using the mobile app which is very badly designed. Simple tasks take ages. There is no messaging service only a very slow online chat which is inefficient for customers and their staff. I have used hundreds of apps, and this is not a good one. It used to be worth struggling with it when Atom offered products with good interest rates but since they don't do that any longer my advice is to avoid. Reviewed on: 20th February 2021

Great bank and product

A great bank with a great savings account. Easy to add and withdraw money to and from nominated bank account. Using facial recognition as an ID is great, easy to use and so secure. Reviewed on: 17th February 2021

Nightmare

The app might work, but nothing else does. I echo the last reviewer. Every bank needs to have security procedures to avoid fraud but this bank takes it to planet moron. It is impossible to get money out of the fixed saver without practically giving a DNA sample and it's even impossible to pay money in, without being put through forensic processes. They manage to make the simplest of transactions so onerous that basically you just start to lose the will to live. I don't have enough words to describe the idiocy and lack of common sense that prevails in their processes. Reviewed on: 12th December 2020

Avoid at all cost

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have a fixed rate saver which I have taken out for 12 months at a time. I am currently mid way through my third year with atom. I have tried to take some money out due to financial hardship because of covid. My husband is furloughed and 2 of my adult children have lost their jobs and moved back home. I have sent documentation to show my newly accrued debt but still they will not release my money. People often talk about responsible lending but but what about responsible saving, atom bank are more than happy allow me to to get into debt rather than part with my money.
