Review of the Avanti Travel Insurance, Travel insurance:

They deliver on their promises

We took out travel insurance with Avanti after my husband completed his treatment for cancer. We were travelling to the USA and remaining for 60 days. The sales staff were helpful, the cover was good and the premium very competitive. This can often apply to many insurers but the crunch comes when you have to make a claim. Unfortunately my husband was unwell while we were away (thankfully not related to his cancer) and we had to seek medical assistance and received treatment. In doing this we followed the process set out in the insurance policy. On our return we presented our claim to Avanti which was settled very promptly. This is the acid test which Avanti passed with flying colours. We will be renewing our annual policy with them in November ready for Australia early next year. thank you Avanti for not writing off us oldies or loading the premiums so much we are unable to make the most of our retirement. I have been fortunate enough to have never needed to make a claim so it is difficult to make a proper judgement.However, Avanti have kept customers up to date with the ever-changing situation regarding travel restrictions and requirements due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Reviewed on: 6th October 2021
