EXCELLENT CASH ISA!

I have used a few ISA's in my career and one thing about Barclays is that their interest rates are very competitive to suit my financial needs. I have a Reward ISA which keeps me motivated for well over a year now and at the moment I don't wish to change it anytime soon. Reviewed on: 16th April 2026

I have had a cash isa with Barclays for a year, and...

I have had a cash isa with Barclays for a year, and even before maturity I have put in a request to transfer it to a different provider. Barclays informed the new provider that only at maturity the cash isa could be transferred, which is acceptable. Maturity was the 25th of march, and since then when i called Barclays they first told me transfer would go through on the 30th of march, then they told me that the new provider did not submit the request. The new provider is telling me instead that Barclays told them my address did not match... (my address at Barclays is flat c etc... while in the other account it is number and then the C...). I have updated the address but transfer is not done yet. It is my cash and it feels like it is being withold with no reason by Barclays, and every time I call I am told something different. Good Rates, But a Bit Old-School

Barclays’ Cash ISA offers solid interest rates, which is definitely a plus. However, the whole setup feels a bit outdated. The rules around deposits, withdrawals, and how the ISA works in general aren’t the most intuitive — you really need to read the fine print to avoid surprises. It’s a good product if you’re looking for a safe savings option, but be prepared to deal with a more traditional and somewhat rigid system. Reviewed on: 11th April 2025
