First class service from a very helpful organisation

We were looking to purchase a property for our son to live in for up to 3 years whilst he was living in another part of the U.K. The Bath Building Society’s Buy for Uni student mortgage product was exactly what we were looking for. However, as well as having a market leading product, they also had a team of people behind it that took the time and trouble to understand our circumstances and come up with a finance offer. Real people to talk with about one's product

I would like to express my appreciation for the way my remortgage has been handled by Bath Building Society. I was offered a product that exactly suited my circumstances and which was a great relief to me at the time. Not great legal work

Relatively slow process and high (unnecessary?) fees. Not impressed by the solicitor handling the case for BBS. Although I recognise they are acting for BBS and not on my behalf they were fairly uncommunicative, incorrectly quoted fees for work, slow to update information (e.g. completion statements were out of data and therefore inaccurate) , incorrect statements, left requests for vital (and large) fees until less than 1 hour before completion deadline. Charging £35 for completing the process online instead of by post? in the 21st century???? Some kind of joke? Reviewed on: 3rd April 2023

Bath building society were professional, responsive and approachable

Great Company for Mortgage Support
