Proactive Advice in Offering Mortgage Options

We were coming to the end of a 2-year fixed deal in January 27. We expected to have to contact the Society some time before that date to consider options. We weren't looking forward to that: re-mortgaging is never simple or easy. So a couple of weeks ago we were really surprised and happy that the Society was proactive in coming forward, on its own initiative, offering us some alternative products in good time. We had already been anticipating the January 27 cliff edge with the usual degree of trepidation (expecting once again to have to engage some mortgage agent go through the market testing-down selection-nauseous application process,) so to be able to head all that off at the pass and lock into a 5 year product is really good for us Reviewed on: 19th August 2026

Excellent service for a specialist mortgage.

Excellent service for a specialist mortgage. From the very first outreach about a 'Buy for Uni' mortgage, we were supported through the process. The information provided was comprehensive and Tim was quick with his responses to any questions. The meeting we had were detailed, and we had plenty of chance to ask questions. Exceptional Support

I honestly can’t recommend Tim highly enough. From the very beginning, he took the time to understand my circumstances, patiently explained my options, and guided me through choosing the right mortgage. Nothing ever felt rushed, and he was always kind, approachable, and happy to answer my questions. Unfortunately, my flat sale fell through, meaning we had to start the whole process again. Just when everything was finally back on track, my mortgage offer expired, and I thought I was back to square one. Once again, Tim came to the rescue. He kept me calm, clearly explained what information was needed from me and the underwriters, liaised with everyone on my behalf, and worked incredibly hard to get everything back in place. What stood out most was how person-centred his approach was. He understood how stressful and emotional the whole process can be, especially when you’re trying to juggle work and everyday life at the same time. I always felt supported, informed, and reassured. Thanks to Tim’s dedication and persistence, we not only secured a new mortgage offer, but he also managed to keep the original interest rate, which was an amazing outcome and a huge relief. We cannot thank Tim Randall enough for his help. We had a very unique set of circumstances that required a specialised mortgage. The mortgage adviser delivered an excellent service

The mortgage adviser delivered a friendly, engaging and very efficient service- very impressed with email communication, keeping us informed, being genuinely interested and managing expectations.. It is clear that BBS are a very professional firm, but the rating given reflects the excellent personal service that we received.
