A way for your savings to do good in your local community

I save with Boom credit union because I know my savings are being used to support my local community and help people access credit without having to pay high interest rates or use unregulated lenders. Reviewed on: 8th July 2021

Doing more with your money

I have been a regular saver with Boom for a number of years through a SAYE scheme. What attracted me to this option, as opposed to using any other high street institution, is the clear aim of helping other people in my own community. With the growing obsession with Credit Rating, so many people through personal circumstances are prevented from accessing credit and may be forced or encouraged to access more expensive or less scrupulous forms of credit. While the principles of lending against deposits are the same for all regulated banks etc, the clearly articulated linkage between my modest deposits and the lending capacity this creates, makes me feel fully invested in Boom CU. Doing a great job

Very friendly people, doing a great job helping people get at the money they need at a fair rate, using the savings of locals, like them, that put the money in, to help other people. Reviewed on: 8th July 2021

Easy to save using Boom

It’s so convenient saving through Boom. An amount I choose gets deducted straight from my salary every month so I don’t get tempted to skip a month or dip into it. I can access it whenever I need to and increase the amazing as and when it suits me. Reviewed on: 8th July 2021
