Doing a good job

I joined the Bradford District Credit Union while I was a Bradford City Councillor because I felt it provided a sound alternative to payday loans . It also helped people manage their finances so as to avoid debt Reviewed on: 23rd June 2020

Quick, considered and achievable.

My wife and I drew a loan a few years back to pay for a car. The process was prompt, the result was positive in spite of our less-than-great credit scores at the time. The repayment plan was fair and easily manageable and the communication from BDCU was always timely and comprehensive. Overall it was a good experience and we are now reassured that we have access to funds without obscene charges or hard-sell promotions. Reviewed on: 23rd June 2020

My local Credit Union

I have been able to take funds from my local Credit Union and pay it back via payroll - all these actions have been seamless and easy to arrange. Also the Credit Union has offered loyalty loans because I am a member over a long period of time. Reviewed on: 23rd June 2020

Local effective action to tackle poverty

Lack of affordable and ethical local borrowing remains a major hazard for impoverished individuals and families. The more we can broadcast local Credit Unions the more we can help make loan sharks redundant. Reviewed on: 23rd June 2020

Excellent

Good value for money and pay directly off your wage slip. You also have piece of mind that if you fall on hard times then the credit union cares more to help that a loan company. Reviewed on: 23rd June 2020
