Absolute Ripoff Absolute ripoff, cancelled a policy and it cost 25% of the whole years premium. Wouldn't use Brightside ever again, not even if they were the cheapest... Read more Reviewed on: 23rd June 2023

cheap,but not all good.

i took up my new insurance with brightside after a very shady service from goskippy.com,however, i was not prepaired for the constant hassle with text messages and threats of cancellation because i had not sent conformation of my NCB and photos of my licence,even though i had sent it to them 4 times!!! they had also stated that i never declared an accident on my application witch was false and also that my NCB was not 5yrs but only 4,even though it was in actual fact 4yrs and 10 months, im not actually sure how insurance companys operate in that respect but my previous insurer did not hold the claim against me as it was the first claim i had made and also that my NCB was protected at the time, not happy with the constant text msg and the fact that the email address that was given as a way to reply did not actually exsist, i had to find a suitable email address myself to reply to them. I have been a longtime customer of another company for many years, as an older man, I wasn't very clued up on the many different insurance companies out there! My original insurance company was charging more and more, and after an absolutely ridiculous quote for my newer model car, I competed an online search to find, I could get an exact same deal for £900 less!!! I was a customer previously for 20 years!!! Immediately my phone started ringing, I answered to be greeted by a very nice person from Brightside! Within a few minutes I was insured! With exactly the same insurance and as I said previously, for £900 less! I received an email in minutes with all my documents, and 2 days later a copy through the post! All staff I've felt with have all been extremely helpful and friendly, I've received a very professional and efficient service and would absolutely recommend Brightside insurance company to everybody, and have done!
