By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Well, now that I am not using my car everyday as I used to, it is very reassuring to know that I am not over insuring it while it is not being used and to be charged purely for the number of miles that I travel! Reviewed on: 19th August 2025

It’s excellent. You actually get feedback from your insurance. Something you usually don’t hear a peep from. Big expense and you get nothing from it (other than being covered) wiht ByMiles you get a nice app that can check mileages,journeys you’ve taken, car medic to find faults and and nice daily breakdown of costa.
