By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Cut the overprice quotes out !

Having continuous N.C.B. for over 20 odd years my previous insurance upped my premium (fully comp) to over £ 350.00 Last year so I was delighted to discover By Miles who totally destroyed premium by over £200.00. The insurance is for a second car I only use for my own private use and is very low miles under 2000 miles a year. But I have never claimed on the previous insurance and worry if I had to claim it would be of any use! Reviewed on: 19th August 2025

I have been very pleased with By Miles car insurance. I recommended By Miles to a friend who does very low mileage. Unfortunately he was not offered insurance due to being just over 80. It's a shame that By Miles does not offer insurance to low mileage very safe drivers of that age. Reviewed on: 18th August 2025
