By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Great for the current climate

The prices and offer from By Miles is already pretty decent but, with lockdown and a lack of needing to commute etc, the by the mile cost has been an awesome way of cutting some costs. Some of the excesses aren’t the cheapest but when compared to the other “cheap” insurance quotes I had are competitive, especially when the annual fee is so low etc. Overall, defo recommend. Best car insurance I've had in the 20+ yrs of driving. Cheap and very cheerful. Love the app, no need to carry insurance certificate around it's all there and the miles shown has also helped when calculating mileage for work reimbursements.
