By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Really pleased with By Miles, providing the best value insurance policy for a low miles customer. Great app features to track journeys and contact customer service. Easy to make changes to policy (I.e. change address) simply via app avoiding unnecessary call wait times. Reviewed on: 29th July 2020

I have never known a more forward thinking company like it! The customer is at the centre of everything that they do. I would say this is the best insurance I have had. They have saved me so much money over the last 18 months I have been using them. It feels like you really get value for what you pay for. Their app is easy to use and setting up the insurance is quick. They’re also the only insurer I know that will give you a quick quote without asking for all your personal date to try harass you later if you don’t choose them. The only reason I would not recommend it to all of my friends is that you need to be over 25 and have a compatible vehicle. Some of my friends have Defenders and can’t be insured through By Miles.
