By Miles provide car insurance aimed at low mileage drivers.

By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Why go anywhere else?

My previous insurer kept hiking the price year on year & when I stumbled on By Miles and as someone who does around 5,000 miles a year I thought I’d give them a try. One year on my insurance for the year amounted to £330 a full £300 less than my previous insurer wanted. Furthermore the 5 star defacto rated cover was better than I was being offered previously. One small issue was when I wanted to drive another car for the day. I found By Miles policies don’t cover you for this because they can’t track the mileage you do as the tracker isn’t transferable. This looked to be a huge problem for be but fear not By Miles introduced me to a one day insurer who covered me for less than a tenner.
