By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Great customer service at considerable value

I have found that I can have a real time conversation on live chat with them 100% of the time. This resolves concerns and problems more quickly and there is no press option 1 then 4 then 3. Then start again; for those that know what I mean. Oh and did I mention the savings you can make opposed to other traditional insurances. With ByMiles you also have an app and a tracker, so you will be able to monitor journeys and keep track of your car always. If like me you’ll never loose your car haha. Sensible no nonsense insurance.

Low mileage user. Basic insurance and cost per mile over my annual 4000 miles equated to a saving of over £100 against any other insurer. Do not pay full premium at outset. App is excellent and realized that whilst not intrusive e. g. monitoring by driving it does record times and paths of journeys. This would be very useful if the vehicle was stolen i. e. By far and away the cheapest quote for me. It really was a no brainer. I was so surprised and impressed by the 'pay as you drive' philosophy. It's the fair way, when you leave your driveway

By Miles is a great way to insure your car. The old way, you work out roughly how many miles you might do and then add a couple of thousand for just in case. The By Miles way is a fair way, only paying for the mileage actually driven. Reviewed on: 10th September 2019
