By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Low mileage drivers dream insurance

By Miles is what every low mileage driver has been waiting for. Pay as you drive insurance is ideal for us as we do less than 1000 miles a year but we being charged ridiculous prices before this came in the market. Fair , honest and open pricing. This was much needed in the car insurance sector. For example the cheapest quote I received from price comparison sites was 584 GBPin comparison to ByMiles estimate of 250 GBP. The tracker device as well as the app giivng detailed info is an absolute bonus! Why pay for insurance when not using the car. This makes ByMiles a winner!! Reviewed on: 10th September 2019

With the app it is so simple to keep track of exactly how many miles I do, where I parked my car and importantly- the health of my car too. With error codes, I can go to a garage and know if I’m being ripped off, which is a virtue for a slightly older car. Also with the app’s chat facility, I can tell By Miles if my car is being worked on too. Great real-time response too. Will get all the families cars insured with By Miles from now on!
