By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

An easier and novel way to insure.

Found them on a search engine, then discovered they offer a totally new and different means of insuring private motor vehicles. Unlike any other Insurance Company in the market. Paying only by the mile and just a small cost when vehicle is not in use. This beats the extortionate fees charged by competitors, whether you use or not. Reviewed on: 10th September 2019

Finally an insurance company that makes sense. It's shocking that it's taken so long to get here. It's definitely the future. Never being able to understand the unnecessary questions and costs of other insurers. For the first time finding car insurance has been stress-free and reassuring. Great new type of car insurance that keeps me on top of my driving habits!

The insurance appeared cheap and I assumed there must be a catch, but if there is one I am still to find it - the tracker just tracks your miles and charges you per mile and gives you regular updates so I now know my journey to work costs me 14p in insurance. I was insured with one of the large insurance companies for over 10yrs, I never compared the price but called every time my renewal came in to get the cost down, my son was with the same insurer and last year both our renewal quotes were obscene give no claims had been made, the insurance company blamed the rise in IPT as the reason. My son found bymiles and we both switched and saved a huge amount of money. Since then I have cancelled my wife’s insurance with the same insurance and she is with bymiles, only yesterday I switched my buildings and contents insurance from the same insurance company as the renewal was over £700, I arranged better cover for £302 !
