By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

I'm a totally satisfied customer.

In comparison to how other insurers had treated me for years, By Miles was the one and only insurance company that wasn't opportunist! They are fair and their price saved me hundreds of pounds. Also, great that from time to time they throw in a little treat for my custom, which reminds me that I'm valued. Joining them was easy and hassle free too. I absolutely recommend them as the best. Good value insurance, only pay for the miles you drive.

Bymiles was by far the best value insurance saving me over £100 based on 3000 miles a year. I don't actually do 3000 miles so I should save more. You only pay for the miles you drive plus a payment to cover the vehicle when it's parked. The unit is easy to fit and when I had my car serviced I informed By Miles and unplugged the unit when I dropped off the car and plugged it back in when I picked it up. I can highly recommend By Miles any queries I have had have been answered by the staff usually within a few seconds using the app on my phone. Can't fault them at all first class insurance at a reasonable price. Reviewed on: 5th August 2019

Insurance made easy.

I am 77 years old. I have been driving since 1960. During that period I was an advanced police traffic driver. To this day I still enjoy driving, however I don't cover the mileage that I used to. Paying for my insurance this way enables me to keep my car legally on the road and use my car as when I need to. Thank you. Reviewed on: 5th August 2019

Quality low cost insurance, with a brilliant app

At first, when I was introduced to By Miles car insurance by my brother in law, I had my doubts as I had never come across an insurance company that only charges you per mile insurance. But when I read up on it and took out my insurance, I couldn't have been happier with my insurance choice this year and it was the best decision I made in a long time. It comes with a really up to date app which gives you notifications for your travelling miles charges, along with the map of where you have traveled which is pretty accurate. I love the feature of previous statements and charges so you can keep an up to date track of how much you pay monthly and how much you have paid. To top it off, the company give free miles (£50) for each person you recommend to use the service and this helps a long way with your credit miles. Great customer service too!
