By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

The way it should be

This is honestly the best innovation for car insurance. I'm not sure why they aren't more popular. Even with high mileage it still works out cheaper for me then any other car insurance quote I received. The app is great and tells you your mileage almost straight away and keeps you mindful of your journeys and in turn saving the environment as you prefer to walk when you know exactly how much it costs! The process was so easy too I barely did anything, I couldn't be happier! Reviewed on: 1st August 2019

Before taking this policy out I was concerned with having a black box fitted as I’ve had a policy similar before with fitted black box. But this is nothing alike it’s so so simple with having your own portal (app) to keep track of miles and journeys each location cost etc. Just brilliant very cost effective to manage your miles and manage what you want to pay from month to month. I love it best policy I’ve had. And the customer service is next level very supportive and reassuring help on hand straight away. 5 star definitely would recommend Reviewed on: 1st August 2019

I can’t believe that i’ve never come across ByMiles before! It’s perfect for me as I don’t drive my car much and then having to pay over £1500 for an insurance policy just seems ridiculous. Best Insurance I have ever had

As a low milage user living in London, this is the best Insurance deal I have had in years. My car is parked outside of my house for the majority of the week and only used to transport my disabled wife to her medical appointments and shopping trips. Hence I only pay a higher premium for the miles I drive. The app is so easy to use and you are notified of the extra cost after each trip. It's cost-effective and easy. This is a game changer

I have a high performance car, insurance has not been cheap. I came across By Miles while searching for a better deal than the renewal I’d just received. To be honest, to begin with, I was rather sceptical, you know what they say, if it seems to good to be true...... it probably is! If your mileage is low check out the numbers, my renewal quote was £460, I expect to pay £200, I’m going to save £460. Reviewed on: 1st August 2019

Only just joined By Miles but experience good so far. Like the way you only pay for miles done as I only do low mileage. Other car insurance companies do not take into account low mileage. Reviewed on: 1st August 2019
