By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Absolutely brilliant way to insure your car if you don't do a lot of mileage

Amazing Cant fault it

Chose to take out my car insurance with By Miles for the 1st time this year. What can I say I genuinely cannot fault them! They’re concept is soo simple and easy to use, just download the app and everything you need to know is there at your fingertips. Monthly statements, all policy details and documents, car diagnostics, journey estimator and most importantly a LIVE customer service chat!! It works so efficiently. I’ve used it on a few occasions already no messing about being on hold on the phone for hours no waiting for an email reply. Just excellent customer service in an instant! And great value for money! It was the best quote I got by miles (no pun intended). No complaints what so ever I can’t see my self ever moving insurance companies 5 star service Reviewed on: 1st August 2019

At the top of my list is by miles is so easy to get hold of for information help and meany other things . When I've got in touch with them they cannot do enough for you ,You DON'T GET press this number for something or press that number for something els you just message them on a tablet or pc and ery quality you are speaking with sombody who will help you . Cheap environmentally friendly car insurance

Since signing up with By Miles a couple of months ago I have seen a reduction in the amount of money I pay each month and not only that the fact that the insurance cost is calculated and displayed in the app has made me reconsider using my car for some journeys. For shorter journeys I now consider walking or taking public transport. This isn’t because of the cost, driving less than a mile to the shop and back costs less than £1, it’s because I’m now thinking wether I actually need to use my car at all! This isn’t something I considered when I first took out the insurance! The other features such as being able to read fault codes for the car has been a bonus as getting diagnostic codes read at a garage can cost between £25-£40. Ultimately, dealing with By Miles was very easy too. I could have a conversation with an advisor via telephone, email or on their website chat room service. Installing the plug in was simple too. Good by miles!

Although I have only recently changed my car insurance to By Miles, it is the perfect format for me as my mileage is only up to 4000 per year. Even if this is achieved, the overall insurance cost is still significantly cheaper than other major companies. A win, win situation!! Reviewed on: 1st August 2019
