By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

By Miles is easy to sign up, website is explained very clearly and their excellent app keep you up to date. The price of the insurance, really the main attraction, is so much better than any rival. I have been recommending this to friends, family and anyone else that will vaguely listen since I joined! I sincerely hope that By Miles helps shake up the car insurance industry. Hassle free and so straightforward..

I don’t use my car a lot and found that conventional car insurance was each year becoming more and more expensive. By miles is cheaper by far but simple to set up and I can control the monthly charge - which is excellent. Will definitely be staying with them in future. Reviewed on: 1st August 2019

Genius idea for low mileage drivers. I paid literally HALF the premium of the next best firm on comparison sites . The mileage charge is on course to save me a good 30% by year end . Reviewed on: 1st August 2019

My experience as a new customer has been excellent so far - great customer service, a simple product tailored to my needs & efficient set up processes & tools. Way better than normal insurers. Only improvement could be adding a Young/Teenage Driver Policy level (if that can happen in the next 4 months for when my daughter starts needing lessons I’ll be even happier!) It's about time insurance companies made decent concessions for low mileage drivers like myself. Why should I pay the same as someone driving 10,000 miles a year? I paid an initial £180 and am billed around £5 per month. I have saved pounds. Reviewed on: 1st August 2019
