By Miles provide car insurance aimed at low mileage drivers.

By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Great new innovative way for car insurance

Since joining the original By Miles Beta, I've been nothing but pleased with the company. Everything is clearly explained, email updates (that are actually not boring and relatively friendly) are sent out, but not too often. The app works great, and has only got better since being a part of the beta+. You only pay for what you use, which for short journey drivers, is amazing! If I ever have a question, I can message one of the team straight from within the app in a instant message format, and will always get a reply within a couple of hours. Really great work. Good opportunity for low-mile drivers

During the year, I drive only a few miles for domestic purposes, and then I do a long trip to my homeland every summer. I believe this characteristic is not catered for by the mainline insurance suppliers, and By Miles is offering a product that looks to be exactly what "volatile" drivers like myself are looking for. And the technical environment that these guys have put together is impressive: I am actually getting information from my insurer...? That's unheard of until now, for a careful driver, insurance always has been "pay and forget"... I am convinced that initiatives like this will revolution the insurance market by finally supplying something tangible to users like me. I appreciate what they are doing, I comment it with friends as an option to take in account in the future, and there is a very good chance that I will go into this type of insurance myself. Excellent experience with By Miles

I recently took part in a 3 month trial with By Miles because I am fed up paying a chunky annual insurance premium for a car that sits in the garage most of the time and only comes out every once in a while when I have time and the sun is shining. The service I received was excellent and I found using the app incredibly easy. I have already recommmended them to several friends and am looking forward to their official launch - hopefully soon. This beats any other insurance product ever offered in the UK. This will change the insurance market for greater good! Amazing features, low cost insurance and only pay for what you use! Can't say fairer than that! No complex pricing additional fees.. Worth every penny! Invest in the future and get the customer service you deserve. I have been using By Miles for several months and it’s a brilliant new alternative to traditional motor insurance. Seeing what you do journey by journey on your iPhone is a fantastic feature. Fantastic new way to insure my car

I trialed by miles in their beta program, the experience was fantastic. One month my total bill was half my usual insurance cost. While the financial element is great, something I hadn’t expected was the amazing customer service and care. I initially had a problem with a tracker and a few brief exchanges with the team got my unit working. The care element really took me back though. the sensor picked up a sudden moment as a possible accident and shortly after the team again reached out to check I was OK. That stood out in to me as an amazing leap in customer care and use of technology to better protect us. I don’t think I’m overstating here to say I think with further development the service and technology By Miles are developing could save lives. Finally a suitable insurer for my weekend driving

As a driver that commutes via public transport during the week and only uses the car at weekends this app has been a lifesaver! Finally I can insure my car for the miles I drive rather than paying while it sits on my driveway! The app is excellent and easy to use!
