By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

My experience has been amazing so far as a young driver. Any questions I’ve had have been very quickly answered and there is an amazing customer service from this insurance. All we've done so far is to switch to By Miles, saving several hundred pounds, and install the mileage tracker. So far so good - and communications were good too - but no experience yet of having to make a claim etc. Reviewed on: 18th August 2022

Having for many years as a motorist tried many car insurance companies I think paying by miles is by far the best policy for a low mileage user. A full comprehensive policy cover at an affordable price. The cost of my policy saved me over £100 so far. Reviewed on: 18th August 2022
