By Miles provide car insurance aimed at low mileage drivers.

By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Started with By Miles as the pandemic hit and it was clear I wouldn’t be using my car much. The app is excellent for seeing exactly where you have used your miles, the price is very fair and the customer service is outstanding. I have stuck with them now for the last two and a half years and have no intentions of changing. Their daily cap is wonderful for the long journeys and looking at my mileage really helps me make better choices of when I use my car. Great company and brilliant ethos! By Miles are a company that values fairness, and with a moral compass that points firmly in the right direction. You might think that 'cheaper' car insurance comes at a cost, such as not caring about customer service, but By Miles have always gone out of their way to make sure I feel valued as a customer. Clear messaging, questions answered before I've even thought of them, and hugely helpful every step of the way. Even sending me velcro straps for holding my tracker in place, at no additional cost, because they had already identified my make and model of car as being potentially problematic (it wasn't a problem but they helped anyway, completely unprompted). It is obvious to me that a great deal of care and attention to detail has gone into the user experience of their product, and it truly pays off. I recommend them to friends and family on a regular basis - literally never done that before with car insurance! Well done By Miles, from an extremely satisfied customer. Ideal for someone who doesn't use their car alot.

I drive a work van nearly everyday, so it makes sense to pay by the mile for my car as I don't do alot of big journeys unless off on holidays etc. I like that it only measures your miles and not how you drive. Reviewed on: 18th August 2022

My friend recommended By Miles to me as I don't use my car too frequently or for long journeys, I couldn't believe it when I got my quote that was significantly cheaper than other providers!
