By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

This insurer is great - kind of like a smart electricity meter, by miles you only pay for what you use. User friendly on the app and easy to install. Makes you much more aware of the cost of your journeys which is also great for the environment Reviewed on: 16th August 2022

The sensible option

An innovative form of car insurance that charges a base premium followed by a charge per mile. There are no minimum or maximum limits and the charge per mile does not change at any point. This pay as you use type of premium is convenient, fair and importantly for the environment, makes you think whether each journey is necessary. Reviewed on: 16th August 2022

I was looking for insurance which isn’t artificially inflated in price, but one which is fair and would help me safe money. Paying by driven miles is a genius idea and I am also feeling in control of my spending, trying to reduce driving when not necessary, and saving the environment. It’s a win - win! Easy to follow instructions, when applying the mileage gadget to the car. Email updates, with the mileage you're using, and if wanted to top up, can do so, which I don't need as yet. All in all, brilliant communication from the company. Keep up the good work. Reviewed on: 16th August 2022
