By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

I always find the customer service staff to be very helpful and I love that it has allowed me to save money as a low-mileage driver. The app with stats and maps for each drive is really good too and it even lets you check for fault codes and locate your car in a car park! Reviewed on: 16th August 2025
