By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Excellent insurer for people that drive local mainly but I have been with this company for 2 years and never had any issues, if you do need info or any updates or changes it’s so easy and quick to have a chat with one of the customer service people via the App. I would 100% recommend this insurer to anyone who only drives if they really need to. I went abroad for a almost a month two time recently which I didn’t need to pay because I didn’t move the car this is how it should be which in all other Insurance companies you should pay however, it’s really a fair price also ,I’m really happy with by miles and I definitely recommend it to all my friends and family. Let’s be honest the price of everything is going up and we have no control over it… except with by miles insurance we do have control! If it’s a tight month on money I have the ability to drive less save not only on fuel but on my insurance too!! The refer a friend scheme is an option to get free insurance too! I am now into my second year with ByMiles, great price, very good service, whilst everything is done online, (probably everyone else will follow suit). on the couple of times I have made contact on the phone, there was only a short wait to be answered, and my queries were dealt with quickly and efficiently.
